What Could Cause Skin Dryness?

Hi, I have some dry skin where my nose meets the top of my cheek about half an inch under my eye. It started on one side but seems to be happening on the other side now too. It is dry, slightly red and feels like the skin is peeling. What could this be and how can I treat? Thanks
