What Could Cause Skin Patches?

I recently started using duac creme for a real out I have recently had. I was them getting very dry skin so used cetaphil over it.

I am now noticing I am getting patches of skin that have tiny tiny bumps on them. They don't look like spots, but are slightly raised and are so small but are noticeable in the light.

What are these patches and what can I do to get rid of them? Could the duac be causing this? i don't know if these are whiteheads but I have never had anything like this before, and they don't have heads on them.
