What Do You Suggest For Bone Spurs In My Left Hip Joint?

Hello Doctor: my doctor increased my dosage on my Pravastatin from 40mg to 80mg a day to try to get my LDL lower, even though my overall cholestrol was still around 178. I started taking it almost 4 weeks ago and noticed a gradual pain which increased gradually until it is very uncomfortable with tenderness and sore muscles and joint pain in my left hip, left ankle and along my left side of my leg like maybe around my ligament or behind my knee near my calf. All of this is only on my left leg. I had some tightness only around my right calf muscle, but not much now at all. I didn't think anything of this at the time because the weather had gotten colder and was cold for a few weeks in a row, and I thought it was just my arthritis acting up. I have bone spurs in my left hip joiint. I have been taking Naproxen (500mg pills)twice a day , because that is what the physician assisatant had prescribed for me at that time, since my doctor was not in that day. My question is how long until this pain goes away. My doctor did tell me not to take any of the Pravastatin anymore and to let my system get clean from it and to see him again in a few weeks when I am not in pain anymore. Will it only take two weeks? Thank you
