What Does Elongated Hyper Vascular Area, Tiny Renal Cyst, Minimal Leviscoliosis Indicate?
An MRI of the abdomen w/wo contrast done to my 15yo boy showed the flowing impression : 1. Elongated hyper vascular area in the peripheral lateral segment left hepatic lobe, which becomes isointense to the residual liver on all the subsequent post contrast sequences. This is favored to represent focal shunting/perfusion anomaly rather than an underlying mass. 2. Tiny left posterior upper pole renal cyst. 3. Minimal leviscoliosis. His GI dr ordered an ultrasound ... Just would like to understand this report better. Thanks Worried mom
