What Does Swelling And Numbness On Finger After A Bug Bite Indicate?

Was bitten by something while sleeping, woke up because of the itching and not the area (my right pinky finger) is very swollen and feels numb, though the numbness could be a result of how swollen the finger is. Is this something I should seek attention for?
