What Is Causing Red Spotting?

Dear doctor, I am patient of PCOS. my age is 28yrs and i have been on medication of metformin for the cause. My period is delayed this month by 6days. But since morning i am getting some red spotting.. i m really worried about this bcoz i m looking forward to a pregnancy this month. Plz advice.
