What Is Follicular Study?

Follicular Study: I have irregular periods before marriage. For about 1 year, I took contraceptive pills after marriage. From January onwards, I have stopped taking pills and having normal periods after 45-50 days. But last period took place on 23rd June and as per 45-50 days cycle, next period should come on 12th August but it did not come. I visited my doctor. She gave me 3 days medicine and told me to get LH, FCH test done on 2nd day once I have my periods. Results were 2:1 ratio for LH:FCH. She told me that you might not be ovulating properly and told me to get follicular study done on 10th day. I am waiting for 10th day to come. Please let me know more about follicular study. I am worried if I am able to conceive. I and my husband has not tried yet. But I am worried about my irregular periods. Please suggest.
