What Is Piece Of Flesh On The Wires Of Mirena?

Hi. I had the Mirena for almost 2 years with minor issues with it. I am currently on my period and while removing my tampon felt a minor cramp and was completely shocked to see that the Mirena strings had some how gotten stuck to my tampon and I accidently pulled it out. I didn't think this was possible! My biggest concern is that a small (sorry) piece of flesh came with it near the wires. I had a leep procedure done a little over a year ago and they left my Mirena in for it. Just wondering if the skin could have been from the leep or if I need to rush to the hospital!!!
