What Is The Cause Of Frequent Periods?

I have had five periods in a row that have all been two weeks apart when they are normally 4 to 5 weeks apart. I constantly feel as if I am on the verge of crying and every little thing will set me off. I know it can't be pregnancy because I am a virgin, but I don't know what it is.
