Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have terrible hip pain. I have been diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis, primarily affecting my hips and spine. My most recent hip MRI shows similar findings to the one done last year except for the mention of heterogenous appearance of pelvic bones. The mri was ordered to evaluate for change because of a sharp increase in my pain level, as well as an increasing mobility issue. What kind of follow up is reasonable to expect? All of my blood tests have been normal except for an elevated white cell count over the last few months, which I assume can be explained by the oral prednisone I take on occasion... any advice or direction would be helful.
