What To Do For Continuous Bleeding?

I am 29 years old, 290 pounds. I have had high blood pressure for the past 3 or 4 years and finally decided to see about it. I was prescribed lisinopril mixed with something else 20-25mg.. My period has not ended since I started taking Lisinopril nearly 2 months ago. My doctor told me it had nothing to do with it and to continue my medication? Can this be the cause of the continuous bleeding? I have never had this problem before, and can they give me something to stop the bleeding? Birth control, anything?
