What To Do For The Swelling And Pain In The Wrist?

I fell 8-9 weeks ago and broke the large bone in my arm at the wrist. The cast has been off for approximately 3 weeks. The bone has healed but my wrist is swollen and very painful. My doctor feels the nerves just need to be desensitized. I have been going to therapy for it but the pain and lack of mobility still exists. I need a little more direction. Should I get a second opinion? The pain appears to be at the carpal bone area.
