What Was The Blister On My Scalp?

A few weeks ago, there was a blister on the scalp in hair that popped. So, it turned into a scab. When I took the scab off, a little chunk of hair came off with it. It left a bald spot. Can you explain what might have caused this? Or if the hair will grow back?
