Why Did I Have Period Again With Heavy Flow In A Month?

I am 38, female, 3 children. My mentral cycles have always been pretty normal after my first child, and last 4-6 days. During my teenage years they were painful starting 2 days before she started to the last day; cramping, migraines... This month I had my normal cycle, 1 advil did the deed, now 2 weeks later my man comes home, haven't had sex in months, bumped uglies, nothing extreme. The next morning I started again. Hmm, by mid day I was flowing like a slaughtered pig, bright red and glogs. Overflowed a super in an hour, very unusual a super would last all night. This has gone on 7 days now, just this morning its lightening up. Whats going on, should I go see gyn or wait to see next month. Single mom, no insurance and scared to death of cancer
