Why Do I Have Itchy, Small Bumps That Are On The Other Side Of My Labia Minora?

Every time I've gotten my period for the last couple months, I've gotten a really itchy feeling in the area of my labia minora. I looked in the mirror yesterday, and discovered that there are tastebud looking little bumps that are on the other side of my labia minora that lead to the vagina. I've made an appointment with the gynecologist, but it isn't until another week. There is no discharge as associated with a yeast infection, but could it be that? (I'm not sexually active)
