Why Do I Have Mild Vaginal Itch And Discharge?

I am now experiencing a mild vaginal itch. I did have a slight discharge but I was tested less than three weeks ago for stds and did not have a positive infection culture. I notice when I use soap in that area, it burns and take a few minutes to ease and then the itching. What could it be?
