Why Experiencing Severe Body Itching Before Periods?

I am due for my period and the past couple of day I have experienced an all over body itch..mostly dominating the soles of my feet, my palms and my armpits. It comes and go in full waves, especially if I am hot or sweaty. I have never experienced this before.
