Why Neck Is Feeling Swollen With A Bump?

I have a small bump on the left side of my neck. The rest of the left side of my neck feels swollen in comparison to the right. There is no pain, but my neck feels a little stiff. I did feel a sore throat coming on last week, but I never ended up having one.
