Why There Are Itchy Bumps On The Bug Bitten Place?

Im 15 and i recently had a bug bite and for a while it wouldn't heal so put hydro peroxide on it and cover it in a bandage to prevent infection because i wrestle for my school. I took the bandage of 2 days later and the place where i put started itch alot then bumps began to form a day later. The bumps had pus in it and itch a little bit. It thought it was just a rash so i didn't mind. a couple of days later thr bumps disappeared and the skin is now a little red not as red as before and really dry. i was wondering if whatever it is is healing. it doenst itch at all.
