Will Alcohol Consumption Make Epidural Steroid Injection Dangerous?

Hello. I have a epidural steroid injection scheduled for this morning, but I had a glass of brandy last evening before dinner and somehow missed the 5 day prior restriction on the pre-procedure instructions. I've had no other alcohol for over a week before. Will this make the procedure more dangerous?

Hi and thank you so much for this query.

Please, make sure you inform your doctor that you took alcohol last night. This would help him to make any adjustments should need be. I don't think it will make the procedure any more dangerous than it should but it is always advisable to keep alcohol away when on treatment because of possible drug interactions.

I hope this helps. i wish you well.Feel free to ask for more information and clarifications should need be. Thanks for using our services. We very appreciate that.
