Will It Be Safe To Take Clomid For Ovulation?

am turning 25 this month.have missed my period for 3months,have noticed that i dont ovulate went to a gyne and he statred me on clomid but to no avail.also have been trying to concieve for the past year and nothing has come.one thing i noticed is that ishould be induced to get the period and if i dont atke any tablets to help me ovulate for sure there is no peroid.i really need your help
