Will It Be Safe To Take Provera For Heavy Flow During Periods?

Hi I am 43 yrs old and have a very heavy period for a month now ??? I m on provera for 8 days now and it s heavy at times but not always ... I have been to the hospital they have done pelvic exams and everything is normal?!?!? I need help I m very tired of having a heavy period for such a long time!!!
