Question: SGPT 900 (3 yr old leukemia (ALL)) during maintenance. always high after ventristine (SPELLING)

otherwise she is fine...she now has one week off chemo due to this..is this a long term concern?

She was a quick responder (in remission within 4 weeks of chemo (Jan 2015)

She was inpatient her first maint phase during the once per 6 week of
(ventristine SPelling) for a week, this time shes at home and fine, with just that very high SGPT 900..DR gave her vitamin E and will take one week off chemo.
she is not yellow and has no bruising etc..just a little tired then normal (which she is normally FULL of energy, now shes average energy and rest a bit more...

Brief Answer:
Not concern if there is no sign of live failure

Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome.
sgpt alone doesn't mean much and if there is no bilirubin elevation and no coagulation disorders then value of 900 isn't threatening her. This can be side effect of chemo and many other medications.it usually takes months to stabilize liver markers so just follow doctors advice and everything will be fine. Wish you good health. Regards
