Question : I currently have the flu, and my doctor asked me if I was experiencing any pain when he diagnosed me, which I wasn't. Today I have had sharp 2 second periods of pain in my left testicle. It usually happened when lying down or sitting for a long time. When I started walking around it would go away. Later I looked at it and i can see a very faint dark kind of patch on my testifle. It's not attached to the skin since it moves with the testicle beneath the skin. My veins are slightly bright red which I am not sure is normal either. Any ideas as to what is happening?
Brief Answer:
It could be due to infection of Testicle
Detailed Answer:
Hello
thanks for you query based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have acute infection of Testicle (Orchitis)
This needs to be confirmed by clinical examination by a qualified Urologist and following basic tests
1)Ultrasound scanning of scrotum
2)Routine urine test and urine culture
3)Color Doppler study of Scrotum.
In the mean while start taking broad d spectrum antibiotics like Cefexime along with anti inflammatory drug like Diclofenac twice daily .Later on switch on to appropriate antibiotic as per culture report.
Ensure to drink more water this will help to keep your urine dilute .
Get the prescription of these drugs from your family physician.
Please note that it takes long time for Orchitis to get cured hence one has to take take these drugs for 3_4 weeks.
Hope I have answered your query, please feel free to ask if you have more questions I shall be happy o help you
Thanks with Regards.
