12 Yrs Back A Book Was Hit On My Left

12 Yrs back a book was hit on my left eye. When i check with doctor they said like cornea was damaged so we cant cure. and recently i had a thought of having eye checkup again since we have many improvement in our medical feild. But, this time doctor said like there is an scare in retina and this should be treated at begining now we cant help. Please either suggest a treatment or please suggest a doctor who can really help to recover from this problem. I cant work,drive with single eye. Thanks
