2 Weeks Ago I Felt A Small Almost Hard Small

2 weeks ago I felt a small almost hard small mass inside my butt cheek on the right side just inside my crack and an inch away from anus. I woke up today and now it is a almost hemorrhoid looking inflamed blood vessel with swelling around it. It doesn’t really hurt but was startled that it flared up so fast. It’s soft feeling to the touch but not in my anus, but above and to right. I’ve had hemorrhoids before and it looks similar. Is this an abscess I need to do something about or will it go away?
