2 Weeks Ago I Started With A Bad Cold With

2 weeks ago I started with a bad cold with flu symptoms and a cough. I have been coughing for 2 weeks. Although I don't have a sore throat, my trachea, (further down than a normal sore throat) is painful to eat any food. I have had a few coughing fits and wonder if I could have damaged that area or I working myself up to thinking it is something more sinister
