27 Year Old Male Had 2 Severe Bouts Of Gastroenteritis

27 year old male had 2 severe bouts of gastroenteritis in last 18 months requiring hospitalization. He is a border patrol agent in McAllen TX and 1st bout was due to contaminated water. He has been currently having severe abdominal cramping (below belly button), diarrhea, nausea. Saw MD 2 weeks ago who prescribed antibiotics and no dairy products. Symptoms subsided for a few days. Pain and diarrhea occurring regardless of bland diet and fluid intake. Passed blood in stool yesterday.
