29 Year Old Son Not Sleeping Due To Pain From

29 year old son not sleeping due to pain from peripheral neuropathy. Diagnosis is recent. Has appointment with neurologist but cannot see that doctor for another few days. My wife has some oxycodone that was just prescribed 2 days ago due to a hemerroidectomy. I am worried because my son has slept less than a hour a night for the past 2 weeks. His only prescribed medication is nova log insulin for sugar control. I would like to give him 1 generic oxycodone in hopes he can get a few hours sleep. He has no other health issues.
