2years Ago I Had A Uterine Artery Embolization For 2

2years ago I had a uterine artery embolization for 2 very large fibroids. One fibroid prolapsed and my primary care physician cut it out. There was an awful smell afterward and I was given antibiotics. My bleeding lasted contiueously for a year then tampered off a bit. I still get my period but not as heavy as when I had fibroids. The problem now is my period is often dark brown and there is no regular pattern to my cycle. It seems to do as it pleases. My periods use to be clotty. But are nor often dark and grainy. I have some what uncomfortable cramping during cycles. This cycle I had a cramping in my vagina that felt like labor contractions. There is no odor. But I'm concerned about my period cycles and consistency.
