3-4 Months Ago I Started Having This Weird Sensation On

3-4 months ago I started having this weird sensation on the right side of my face where it felt like ice cold lightning bolts shooting down my face. When it started, they only were very brief, never painful, just cold. Now, its not cold, but very warm and its more the whole side of the face and into the ear. I first thought it was maybe connected to migraines, an aura or something but I am not always getting a migraine following it. Quite frankly, I'm starting to worry a bit. What is going on? Today, this warm lightening was going on all day, at times, every 5-10 min apart. I am age 53, going through my change of life, have been for over 10 years, on hormone replacement therapy for that.
