4 Days Ago I Was Tripped By A Large Dog

4 days ago I was tripped by a large dog and fell landing on my right side. I have a very sore arm as well as pain in my ribs just under my breast. Painful to take a deep breath. Got worse today than it was past 3 days. I didn't go to emerg or doctor because I never felt that anything was broken just bruised badly. I have been taking extra strength Tylenol and just switched to coated extra strength aspirin. Is this something that will just take time to heal??
