48 Year Old Male With Large Horizontal Nail Ridge's On

48 year old male with large horizontal nail ridge's on finger tips. looks like my nail bed is raised up higher then it should be causing high and low spots creating roller coaster effect on nails. I seem to be in good health, no allergies, but have heard that nail health can be an indication of a more serious problem. I have had smooth nails and slight ridges during times of flu or stress over the years but this seems to be more drasitic ????
