54 Year Old Male. Had Bout Of Diahrea And Then

54 year old male. Had bout of diahrea and then a couple of days later noticed darker stool that had red colour oozing from it after sitting in toilet water. Since then (over past 5 days) stool has not been as dark, but after 30 seconds of being in water oozes red (definitely a darker red) which sits on toilet bowl beneath it. Looks like blood. Stool is soft but formed and somewhat thin. I can see no evidence of blood until it soaks. Often feel bloated and gassy. BM 2 to 3 times a day; normal is 1. Cause for alarm; I'm guessing?
