Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
6 days back my wife (age 45 years) suffered a severe back/leg pain. The MRI report says "Left para central disc extrusion with superior migration at L4-5 level encroaching on the left neural foramen, narrowing it and compressing the exiting left L4 root. Diffuse disc bulge at L5-S1 level indenting the thecal sac & causing narrowing of bilateral neural foramina (left-right) and lateral recesses. Post annular tear with mild disc bulge at L3-4 level indenting the thecal sac" Presntly she has mild back pain controlled by NSAID , she has numbness in left leg and experiences high degree pain if left leg is given any weight. She is not able to stand. The back pain has subsided significantly in the last couple of days but the pain/numbness in the leg has probably decreased only 5% I request that someone may provide an unbiased opinion on the condition and also suggest whether there is any chance of non surgical approach to trteatment. Please e mail me at : YYYY@YYYY
