63, overweight, plate w/ screws and knee replaced on R leg many years ago, recently baged the knee/shin pretty hard ( 2 months ago ) plate feels different somehow however 4 days ago R leg,foot, ankle, etc. swelled up and is still, like I'm retaining water in one leg. besides the obvious, Diabetes maybe?
