8 Year Old Boy Woke Up With Extremely Flushed Cheeks

8 year old boy woke up with extremely flushed cheeks and pins and needles in both hands yesterday. His arms and backs of hand are red with a rash - no itch or discomfort. Gave nurofen. The pins and needles subsided as did the rash. His cheeks remained flushed. He did not have a temperature and is in great form. He has woken this morning with the same thing... any ideas?
