86 year old Mom had a cardiac stent placed in October; Plavix and low dose ASA were prescribed. After that, her orthopedist placed her on Mobic. In November, her Hgb was 11. December 20th, it was 8.7. The hematologist is advising that infusions resume on a weekly basis from monthly and that she have a scope of the upper GI. I've spoken with her cardiologist who does not want the ASA and Plavix d/c'ed.

My two questions: 1) should Mobic be held? My sister gave her sublingual B12 however, her iron deficiency is not related to B12. 2Would the B12 help?
