97 Year Old Woman With Degenerative Neck Bones (crumbling) Wears

97 year old woman with degenerative neck bones (crumbling)
wears a soft neck brace or chin basically rests on her chest.
now is having extreme headaches and feels like her eyes are being
ripped out of the sockets. won't take pills if she can help it.
what can we do for the pain ??? heat wraps?? ice ???

any suggestions? she doesn't let it keep her down. she gets up and walks her asst living facility every day !!!
