A 49 Year Old Female Following A # In The

A 49 year old female following a # in the occipital area,brain haemorrhage relieved by surgery,rraised intracranial pressure necessitated further surgery five days later to remove a clot from a bruised area of brain tissue in the temporal area by removing a wedge of bone,to be replaced later. her ICP is now 5-6.
Now,she has a haemoglobin of 7 and an impacted small bowel.
Why is her haemoglobin so low? Why does she have an impacted small bowel? please
