A 64 Year Old Women About 185 Pounds. I've Got

A 64 year old women about 185 pounds. I've got sensitive skin but have never experienced any like this, my face is very tight and red. I haven't tried new cosmetics or lotions to cause a reaction like this, I have used my usual face cream it is a hydrated product for aged skin.
The face cloth I used this morning was clean, but because of the dry tight skin on my face I'm wondering if the cloth had a type of resin on it like (ie Clorox).
The hydrating cream is soaking into my skin but isn't helping, two minutes later my face is dry and red again.
Any ideas how to put out the fire on my face.
