A Close Friend Was Put Into A Medically Induced Coma

A close friend was put into a medically induced coma for one week after having a severe allergic reaction that caused him to go unconscious. He has been off of the chemicals that induced his coma for a week now and his vitals are strong but he still hasn't woken up. Is this a normal time frame to still be out?
