A Couple Of Days Ago I Recognized A Section In

A couple of days ago I recognized a section in my pubic area that was red and swollen a bit and started to look like pimples or an ingrown hair. I did not think much about it because I get them quite often after shaving my vagina. The next day I woke up to it a little more enflamed and red but no itching. My lymph nodes in my groin were a bit swollen and tender and I started to research a little about those symptoms and came upon herpes which scared me. I went to the walk in clinic yesterday and the doctor seemed a little skeptical of what it was but took a swab and prescribed me to an anti biotic called "cephalexin" and I just started it this morning. He told me I would not receive the results of the swab test for a couple of days and I'm extremely anxious to hear back, so much so that I am extremely emotional and have lost my appetite. I am very concerned and need to know as soon as possible of what it is. But can't seem to figure out if it's herpes ( which the doctor seemed to be sugar coating quite a bit and not being honest with me since I was so upset) or if it's just an infected ingrown hair. I was not sure if my lymph nodes would swell up like that for an ingrown hair. Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing back as soon as possible.
