A Couple Times Now I Have Noticed That The Immediate

A couple times now I have noticed that the immediate skin around my anus is sticky. I wipe really well and I shower every other day. Even after showing and washing down there it doesn't go away. I have hemorrhoid(s) and I use cream to reduce it and when I use it the stickiness seems to go away. I don't think I have any discharge from my anus. Should I get this checked out or could it be a symptom of hemorrhoids?
