A dear friend of mine has lost her voice from inhaling amikacin. She was on infusions, which seemed much easier for her. Anyway, she has stopped inhaling it for now and will experiment, per her doctor's instructions after her voice returns. She is depressed an discouraged. What causes this to happen?
