A Doctor In Europe Has Prescribed That My Cousin's 14

A doctor in Europe has prescribed that my cousin's 14 year old granddaughter take 300 mg. of biotin daily to prevent the progression of hardening of her bone marrow. Is this the only treatment for this condition?
