A Family Member Is In A Burn Unit Which Is

A family member is in a burn unit which is the only place she can be cared for due to her conditiion. She is a young woman just about to start college. She has a skin "burning" condition which has been caused by medication but not sure what medication or when it was taken. She is sedated because it is so painful as the medical staff remove layers of her skin. She is also intubated.
I have never heard of such a thing
