A few months ago I started to see visible pulse on my face, near the corner of my lips. It's in sync with my heart beats, and I can even hear the pulse in certain positions. It seems to happen when I am anxious or under pressure. I googled and found a lot of people with similar experience. Bur since I have high blood pressure (controlled with medication), I mentioned it to my cardiologist during my routine followup just to be safe. Unfortunately it was not showing during that visit, and my doctor firmly told me that there can't be pulse in that area and what I described must be the movement of the muscle. That made me very confused. Is my cardiologist correct? Should I see a different specialist about this, like a neurologist?
