A Few Years Ago I Went To The US Virgin

A few years ago I went to the US Virgin Islands & cut myself on a reef. It wasn't that bad so I cleaned it with alcohol & covered it. But a week later it still wasn't better. It got much worse & I started getting bumps under my arms & on my groin & bikini line. My the time I got back to the states the where big & very painful. I went to a Doctor & they said it was Mersa. Now a year later & I'm still getting bumps but they are different from the Mersa ones. Do you think they are just ingrown hairs or something else? What should I do??
