A Friend Has Been Chewing For Like 20 Years He

A friend has been chewing for like 20 years he started finding white bumps where he puts the chew. He went to the dentist and they did a biopsy but its like 2 weeks till he gets the results. Hes scared its cancer and he has quit chewing For like 2 weeks now and the white spots have turned pink again. Will he be ok?
